Discovery & Scoping

We map out what the tool needs to do, separate from what would be nice to have. These are usually different lists.

STEP 02

Architecture

The back-end team decides how it all works under the hood. This is the part nobody else on the team fully understands either.

STEP 03

Design

The interface gets mapped out so the tool doesn’t just function, it makes sense to use. Nobody wants software that needs a manual.

STEP 04

Development in Sprints

Built in chunks, so you see real progress along the way instead of a black box for three months.

STEP 05

Testing & QA

We try to break it before your users do. We’re usually pretty good at this part.

STEP 06

Deployment

It goes live, ideally without anyone discovering that “the Johnsonrod is wrong” in production.

STEP 07

Support & Iteration

Software isn’t a one-and-done. We keep improving it as real people start using it and finding things we didn’t think of.

Our Workflow

DISCOVERY CALL

We ask a lot of questions about your business, your customers, and what's currently driving you up the wall about your site (or lack of one). This is so we don't build the wrong thing slightly faster.

PROPOSAL & QUOTE

You get a real scope and a real price. Not a number that mysteriously doubles once the contract's signed.

DESIGN

Our designers do their staring-at-Figma thing. You see the layout, the look, and the flow before a single line of code gets written.

DEVELOPMENT

This is where "it's working!!!" starts getting yelled across the room. Repeatedly.

CONTENT & TESTING

Your content goes in, then we break the site on purpose, repeatedly, until we're confident your customers won't be the ones to find the problems.

LAUNCH

The site goes live. Someone on the team yells again, this time happily.

SUPPORT

We stick around for bugs, updates, and the inevitable "can we change just one tiny thing" messages. (It's never one tiny thing.)

Timelines

Websites usually take 4 to 8 weeks, depending on scope and how quickly we get content and feedback from you. Custom software takes longer, since it depends entirely on what’s being built. Either way, we’ll give you a real timeline upfront and tell you if something’s about to slip, instead of letting you find out on launch day.
